Guest guest
Hi, I collected the following from the MSRC website and Dr Bob Lawrence's contribution. Availability of Low-dose Naltrexone (LDN) in the United Kingdom. "Following its successful use in the USA, and many other countries, in the treatment of multiple sclerosis since 1985, you may be interested in the recent news that LDN is now also produced, in response to GP or neurologist’s prescriptions, by a company in the UK, dales Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Hubert Street, Brentwood, Essex CM14 4LZ. Tel: 01708 - 386660. Its effectiveness in stabilising further progress of this disease is, although anecdotal, well documented and established, and has been shown to be almost absolutely effective in preventing further deterioration or increasing disability. This means that if you are able to obtain a prescription for LDN from your local GP, you will be able to get it dispensed at the local pharmacy. Although LDN is not well known in General Practice, it is not on the NHS blacklist of drugs and so should remain freely available." Like other respondents in this group I am still waiting for a UK GP or consultant to prescribe - so currently use MedsMex and compound my own dosage. (Its cheaper!). I still want and need a medical professional to take up supervision while I take LDN. Regards, Iain
