Thank you for this post.....I started 4.5 on 9/12 and

for a week it made me miserable...of course I had

cheno at the same time and that did not help.....upon

advice from the group I stuck with this dose and I am

doing ok but my walking is getting worse....My knees

are both locking up. I take 1 DLPA in the morning

about 7-8 am....I am fine until about noon/1 pm. then

I start going downhill. It is frustrating me.....I

will try taking this at a different time but if

someone has more advise I would most greatly

appriciate it...

Thanx in advance

Thank you for your note. I had cut the dose back to

4.0 mg and that seems to be helping until around 6 pm.

That is when my legs start getting stiff again. I was

told by my doc that I may have to experiment with

which dose would be best for me. I am going to stay

with this until I find it may not work.

As far as 3mg and 4.5mg being the only doses Dt.

Bihari prescribes, I don't think is correct. My

friend who suggested this to me, is a patient of his

and he has her on 3.5 mg.

Thank you for your advice...if you or anyone think I

should go back to 3.mg instead of 4 or even 3.5. Then

I would appriciate hearing so. I have only been

taking this since June. Is the point of LDN use to

just stop progression or are we supposed to be able to

build up to the higher dosage also?

Thank you

Hi ,

You are right. The optimal dose would be 4.5mg if possible, but everyone's

body is different. Dr. Bihari suggests 4.5 if it works. He has my husband

down to 3mg because he was feeling tingling and numbness in new areas after

starting 4.5mg. That did the trick and he has just stayed on 3mg since

then. You just have to pay attention to how your body is doing and alter the

dosage to where you feel best.
