With all the wildfire contaminants, coal-fired power plants, motor vehicle exhaust, chemical processing stacks, etc., a couple of volcanic eruptions is all it would take to start thinking about building a Total Recall-like dome.

It isn't so far-fetched. I attended the IAQA conference held at the Gaylord Opreyland in Nashville. I think I was outside one time in three days. There are gardens with birds and a river inside the huge glass envelope.
