Guest guest
Not exactly, but I did have an experience similar to 's, in 1983, lasting about 3 weeks. I was doing a somewhat different form of self inquiry at that time, too. So I am hopeful that 's method could be the catalyst for something similar. But I think she says to do inquiry for the love of truth, not to be enlightened. I dont think there is anything we can do ourselves to be enlightened. That comes from God directly. (My story....) Guest guest
SO what is the key question I think. I expirience mystical and/or transcendent states due to... talking to Steve. Oppps, I am talking about myself again me, me me Anyway, I am so happy in my life told me that he loves me (sometomes) but that is a beggining, right ? I feel that I am the best thing that can happen to a man I love walking gift, and modest one Love you all T > > > > Hi all > > just wondering if anyone feels that they have experienced mystical or > > transcendent states as a result of doing the work? > > Regards > > Rodney > > >
Guest guest
I think I know what you're trying to ask. I did once upon a time. It was actually BK's other stuff that helped cause a shift in me. Non-personalizing oneself, tidbits of wisdom that I contemplated, and stuff like that. What I did notice is that I think I've cleared stuff up and oops....more stuff comes up later. I wonder if it ever all goes away, or I have to keep doing the work work work. Guest guest
Hi Rodney! I've experienced joy... profound joy. This feels very mystical and transcendental to me! LOL It's a dimension of consciousness that I've never experienced quite like this before. Without thought, there is only peace and freedom! Without thought, fear is absent. Without thought, I am connected to my intuition. IMO, " BEING " is a profound, mystical and transcendental experience. Thanks for the question and the opportunity to " think " about it! Warmly, Sandi > > Hi all > just wondering if anyone feels that they have experienced mystical or > transcendent states as a result of doing the work? > Regards > Rodney >
Guest guest
Hi that's very interesting. Can I ask what form of self-enquiry you were originally doing? Like , other teachers say the same - it's not a goal to strive for but something that might blossom forth from a prepared mind Regards Rodney > > > > Hi all > > just wondering if anyone feels that they have experienced mystical > or > > transcendent states as a result of doing the work? > > Regards > > Rodney > > >
Guest guest
Hi Steve so what, indeed. I changed the oil in my car today but then, so what? I washed the dishes today but then, so what? Just more phenomena to " so what " at, eh? So what? Well, for one thing it's an interesting property of the universe to study, that's what. Guest guest
Hi Sandi I can relate to what you say. I remember walking out of the cinema after seeing " Lord of The Rings " of all things and experiencing a profound joy and seeing things with an intimacy that I had never known before. It seemed to correspond with an intense period of BK work Regards Rodney > > > > Hi all > > just wondering if anyone feels that they have experienced mystical or > > transcendent states as a result of doing the work? > > Regards > > Rodney > > >

Guest guest
Dear Rodney, For me, my " peak experiences " have been equal to whatever story I use to describe them with. Rather than studying them, try putting them up against Inquiry, or not. My personal belief is that what we call " peak experiences " are a temporary movement toward sanity, then the Ego Mind says something like " Wow, look what I did! " or " Wow, look what just happened to me! " and we move back into our dream of separation. Here is one of my favorite stories: We have a " peak experience " and then we move back into the dream of separation but with a memory of that " peak experience " . Now, when this happens enough times and enough of those memories build up in our awareness, we then begin to be unable to honestly believe the dream of separation. That is a beginning. Guest guest
Im curious.. what is the opposite turnaround.. it sounds like that would be negative.. so how could that be helpful.. I hate my mother and dont forgive her.. ???? Ive also tried affirmations for a short time and didnt get anywhere.maybe because i didnt write them enough or is that a story.. I think said affirmations are superstitious.. but then i have found they can be helpful when i repeated affirmations with a group -I suppose if you believe in them and believe they are helpful. thanks roslyn > > > > > > > > Hi all > > > > just wondering if anyone feels that they have experienced > > mystical > > > or > > > > transcendent states as a result of doing the work? > > > > Regards > > > > Rodney > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Ha Ha! Sorry, no, that is not the turn around. It's 180 opposite of my judgement. so, it was My mother is loving and wise and gives me health strength and support. I had no belief in affirmations whatsoever. I just did it as an experiment to see what would happen. It's not for everyone, but nothing is. > > > > > > > > > > Hi all > > > > > just wondering if anyone feels that they have experienced > > > mystical > > > > or > > > > > transcendent states as a result of doing the work? > > > > > Regards > > > > > Rodney > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
-tehe Thanks Jeff for clearing that up... I had a therpist once who told me to imagine ideal parents and i didnt want to imagine anyone different from my own parents.. even though i was critical of them at the time.. Guest guest
My tip would be: first do the work on the stressful thought than do 7x70 on the turn around, and see what comes up last thing you can do the work on the remitments that comes up to the turn around T -- Re: peak experiences Im curious.. what is the opposite turnaround.. it sounds like that would be negative.. so how could that be helpful.. Guest guest
Dear Roslyn, You siad: " I think said affirmations are superstitious.. but then i have found they can be helpful when i repeated affirmations with a group -I suppose if you believe in them and believe they are helpful. " Exactly, affirmations are just like pills. Just depends upon your story. Webster's Dictionary says that a superstition is: " a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation. Guest guest
Affirmations are like pills. Guest guest
from what you have written here i would then assume you dont believe in taking pills.. unless a person beleives they should which would then be a superstition. Right or wrong.. I think this can get confusing as there are pills one has to take for health issues. or are those superstition as well. in your opinion. -Oh.-depends on your story.answered my own question when i reread your email. have you read pscyhiatry ultimate betrayal? blessings,rh - -- In Loving-what-is , " Steve D " <lafdaily@a...> wrote: > > Dear Roslyn, > > You siad: > " I think said affirmations are superstitious.. > but then i have found they can be helpful when i repeated affirmations > with a group -I suppose if you believe in them and believe they are > helpful. Guest guest
Hi Steve Thanks for that, that's an interesting perspective. I must confess though I wouldn't know where to begin with an enquiry on peak experiences beyond experiencing them...I guess I could start with my beliefs and stories about them. Any suggestions? Kind Regards Rodney > > > > > > > > Hi all > > > > just wondering if anyone feels that they have experienced > > mystical or > > > > transcendent states as a result of doing the work? > > > > Regards > > > > Rodney > > > > > > > > > >
