It is important to use judgement seperating " suggestions " from facts. A quick search of " steroids " here revealed the post below. I seem to recall some time back other posts mentioning Dr. B supporting steriod and LDN use together. Who to believe? I suggest contacting Dr. Bihari's office directly!!! I have been told directly by Dr. B that 4.5mg is the optimum dose to strive for. Obviously, if intolerable, some is better than none but he indicated to me (more than a year back) that he felt less than 4.5mg might not slow down (or halt) progression. I don't mean to single out (please do not take offense), but feel compelled to urge extreme caution when reading such definitive statements (like the one above) from anyone other than Dr. Bihari (or perhaps Dr. Lawrence). When my husband took steroids Dr B recomended staying on the LDN for the duration. To recap .. my husband has PPMS and despite one pseudo relapse (old symptoms returned with vengeance) as a result of personal stress .. he has not one brand new symptom since starting LDN in september 2002. all the best www.marybradleybooks.com

I suggested to the person's whose husband is on his death bed with a cancer illness what Bihari would suggest, no immune system suppressants with LDN if at all possible. I spoke to Bihari for 90 minutes strictly on LDN and cancer. It would also be great if the man's doctors would call Bihari. Bihari really does not like to see anyone take any immune system suppressants if they are taking LDN for cancers unless there is no other alternative and there are alternative treatments for treating anemia. Bradley's husband has MS, not cancer. Bihari stressed hard on me and my mom that he believed that 4.5mg LDN would keep my mom breast cancer free and to strictly avoid chemo's and other immune system suppressants. My mom's mammograms & bloodwork 3 months ago and a bone scan today says she's still cancer free on 4.5mg LDN with no chemo treatments. She was dx'd aggressive breast cancer & had a lumpectomy April 2004 and started LDN April 2004.

I have been cutting down his steroids from 60mg to now 20mg. so far the red count is holding. Do you think if I called Dr. Bihari he would talk to me? I know he must be busy, and his time is money. I just want to do the best I can to help my husband. Any info would be appreciated. Pat

He is rather pricey but maybe with your husband's condition Bihari might can work payments out with you. It's worth a try anyway. Tell the person who answers the phone at Bihari's office your husband's situation and the seriousness of it.

These are mostly uncharted waters and although we here attempt to help each other as much as possible, a critical case would best be handled (in my opinion) by the best supported information, or info right from the horses (Dr. Bs) mouth. Guest guest
Hi Pat, Dr. Bihari is one of the nicest people and I cannot imagine that he would not want to help you. He does charge for appointments, but maybe his assistant will relay the question and at least let you know if he would talk to you without an official appointment. There would be no harm in trying. Guest guest
Aletha, I tried to call on Friday, it was closed. now I hear he is laid up again. I am so lost, I don't know what to do. He had to go for a transfusion on Thursday of 2 bags of red blood and one of platelets. He gets another blood test tomorrow, and I suspect he will have to have more transfusions. His appt. with his dr isn't until the 18th. He doesn't want to go back in the hospital. I am sure this whole problem started with mono complicating his leukemia, and them doing chemo while he had it.
