Dear Dr KS

U have somewhat disappointed me!! BUT OKK OKK, I UNDERSTAND!!! I know U were

sick and cud not have taken the pictures(and posted them) of all those mallu

nurses sternly telling u 'Gaana gaane ka nai'. But I am happy that U were

'watching' them. Very much Kishor-like, very much urself!! Full red-blooded

male!!!!

As regards ur query on Turkish Cardiologist..,well, in last 15yrs,I have not

seen a single Turkish doc employed here in Riyadh,for that matter,leave aside

Cardiologist.

..

Maybe, they r absorbed into their own system or flyoff to the next European

destination closer to their home.

But,they have tons of Turkish hair stylist, who run most of the Top Men's saloon

out here.inaddition to having their famous carpet industry and their famous

Sweet shops,all around the city.

Having said,that,I guess U missed the Tall leggy,Turkish nurses,checking ur

pulse..than our Mallu nurses..,

Or on other hand,I guess,,,that wouldnt have been nice for ur heart,then,as it

would have sent ur pulse soaring.

Thank God, for putting u back on ur seat.

I am really overwhelmed by all your good wishes and Kalantri Sir's poem. My

wife especially appreciated the poem.

How can I but be well with so many well wishers on my side? Looks like Olive

Oil is not all that good for the heart as it is touted to be. I missed

making a tour of Turkish Hospitals by a whisker. (I wonder how good Turkish

Cardiologists are, but I don't want to find out.)

And Shyam, it was tough to get you back on the group. It took me an angio

and cost me an arm and a leg and a groin. Don't leave the group again. My

heart may be able to stand that strain, but definitely not my groin.

Now I have conclusively proven that Not smoking, Not drinking, staying happy

and jolly and staying within healthy weight parameters is NOT a way to avoid

heart attacks. (BTW I don't have a genetic history too.) So when everyone

tells me to take care, I wonder what I should take.

My wife has an interesting theory. With five of my batch mates already dead

and five with heart problems, she thinks that it is something to do with the

Sevagram diet in the late seventies. Is Barbatti and Besan Rajma bad for the

heart?

It was sheer luck that my son, Yash, was visiting with us on that fateful

night. He had reached just an hour earlier, and if it wouldn't have been for

his speedy shifting to the Cardiac institute, I probably would not have been

writing these lines. He found his college mates there as residents, and so

everything went off smoothly and well oiled.

I can't thank everyone from the bottom of my heart now, because woh toh kaam

se gaya hai. But I shall thank you from the remaining part of my heart.
