Guest guest Posted September 26, 2005 Report Share Posted September 26, 2005 Bruce, Thanks for your reply. I am not fighting AML. There is a beautiful 2 year old baby girl in my church that has it. As a mother of baby girls, my heart goes out to them. From the little I know I believe she is undergoing extensive chemotherapy now, and from what I understand it is very serious. You may be wondering about me because I recently posted about my scare where my platelets plumeted to 13,000. They went up to 50,000 and held there for a week and then suddenly back up to 240,000. The Dr thinks I either had a reaction to a supplement or drug I take (namely ginko biloba), or possibly immune thrompocytopenia purpura. I did not have too many blast cells, which I think is why they didn't talk much about leukemia. My dad has CLL, but he is currently doing well without treatment. I have been to your website.
