Guest guest
I have been asked to investigate IAQ complaints (BRI) after a serious gas leak in a home. Car hit house. Gas line ruptured. No explosion. (miracle) Ongoing complaints of ill health, headaches, and the like. H2S odor. Plumbing is confirmed to be sound and that sewer gas is not the source. Can mercaptan react with building materials or furnishings to cause ongoing problems? What else might be the source of the rotten egg odor. No Chinese drywall present. any thoughts are appreciated. -- S.
