Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Carol is right. LDN has restored many lives that no longer have the time to return here daily. My husband with PPMS continues to thrive since starting LDN 4.5mg in September 2002. I know many people thriving on LDN. The number of success stories with Rheumatoid arthritis is especially growing. I have a question. My friend's daughter was just diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. According to my research, LDN should be as effective for JD as it is for Rheumatoid Arthritis and MS, to name but a few ... Does anybody here know of anyone with Juvenile Diabetes on LDN? Guest guest
Hi , I have an uncl with diabetes and he cured himself on diet alone. I'm sure LDN would help but with diabetes diet is essential. My uncle is eating a lot of proteins and staying away from anything grain based. Guest guest
Hi , Our 17 year old son with Type 1 diabetes has been on LDN since the end of March of this year. We have not seen any progression in that time but then we have not seen any since he was diagnosed almost 4 years ago. But yes, the real liklihood of LDN stopping progression of Type 1 (insulin dependent) is definitely there. Dr. Bihari said he has something like 6 young people with Type 1 on LDN, some for a good few years, and they have all shown no progression. Guest guest
Those are things that I would call the pediatrician about. A yeast infection makes a person miserable. It will make you feel better to have them check her out and tell you that she is fine. I decided a long time ago that I would rather the doctor tell me it was nothing then to sit and worry. Your gut instinct tells you something is wrong and you need to act on that. I know nothing about diabetes but know that if you are concerned you need to get it checked. I hope she is better soon. She has never been big on drinking alot, but now she is even asking for water. When she wakes up she cries for a drink. Tonight she had a whole bag of microwave popcorn, her dinner, and a bowl of cereal and she is only 3 years old. She has been complaining that her mouth hurts and she has a huge sore in the corner of her mouth that keeps bleeding. I also think she may have a yeast infection in the crease of her butt. It is very red and is bleeding but diaper rash cream is not working. She also has some bumps on her butt that look like pimples. I'm not sure if these symptoms are related or not. Guest guest
She has diabetes. Get to the physician ASAP! Tonight! My son was 23 months old when diagnosed and his 4 year old sister has JIA and uveitis. We waited so long for his diagnosis that he almost died. I don't mean to scare you but this is very serious. Guest guest
, Jordon has had Type 1 Diabetes since he was 14mths old, he ate a lot(until he couldn't eat at all anymore), he was drinking excessively, he urinated constantly, he was very very very lethargic. In just a couple days he went from a little boy that was happy all the time and wanted to do everything, to not wanting to do anything, very pale/greenish. The symptoms happened very fast for him. Either take Abby to the ER or in to see her pediatrician right away. , Bryon, Jordon 10, 8 From: C Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 6:42 PM Subject: Juvenile Diabetes Does anyone have a child who also has Diabetes? Guest guest
Good luck. Keep us posted. I will reiterate that our son had the same rash. The reason yeast forms on the skin is because of the high blood glucose levels which it thrives on; hence the diaper rash from hell.  I so hope that it turns out not to be diabetes for her sake! Guest guest
Antibiotics possibly tablets or IV, however if the staph infection is really bad, a PICC line might be needed for antibiotics, usually staying on the antibiotics for 6 weeks. But a PICC line doesn't hurt. From: Crawford Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2010 1:23 PM Subject: RE: Juvenile Diabetes We are on our way to the doctors office. Guest guest
G'day , I have to agree with the others, while I can't say for sure it is Diabetes, it sure sounds like it needs to be diagnosed ASAP. My niece has Type 1 Diabetes, diagnosed within 6 months of Bayly's JIA dx (he was 1, she was 9) and she has many of the same symptoms you describe. And if Abby does have an infection, like Staph, antibiotics should do the trick, but watch out for yeast infection as a result of that. Lots of yoghurt can help! Guest guest
Hi , If you think your daughter may have diabetes symptoms you should have her seen by her pediatrician as soon as possible. If her thirst is diabetes related she would probably be finishing the drinks that she is asking for. Medication can have side affects related to thirst and hunger. When he was younger my son would say he was hungry after going to bed - when it was really a ploy to get out of bed. But, when he was on steriods he was hungry all the time - his appetite would level off as we lowered the dose, and sometimes when his body would become accustomed to the dose, but there were times that he would wake me at 2 am telling me that he was hungry. I hope that it isn't diabetes, but you really should discuss thiw with a physician. Val Rob's Mom (12, systemic) Juvenile Diabetes > > > > Does anyone have a child who also has Diabetes?
