hi all!

i have a question about the barley in the anti-inflammatory diet. is it okay to

eat if i'm worried about a sensitivity to wheat/gluten? is barley less of a

problem for most people than other gluten containing products? i am just

wondering why it is a grain that is okay to eat in the diet handout i have. any

experience with this?

i have a patient who's trying to eliminate wheat but realized he was eating some

rice bars with malt barley in them.

It obviously depends on the individual case. In my experience, eliminating gluten and not simply wheat will be most anti-inflammatory, including barley. Dr. Igor N.
