MS - Dosage change, generic, sleep

After all the discussion on the relative effectiveness of generic vs " name

brand " I decided to up my dose to 6mg/day. My naltrexone is made by

Mallinckrodt. I do not suffer from visible symptoms and so have " nothing to

show for it " . Still, since starting LDN in June, my hair and nails are

growing faster, and I have enjoyed many more vivid dreams. One day after

upping from 4.5 mg to 6 mg, my neck was very stiff, but that could have been

how I slept or anything. I think my sleep has been somewhat impacted by the

dosage change. I usually sleep from around 9 or 10 PM to around 4:00 to 6:00

AM. This past week, however, I have not made it to bed until 2:30 to 3:30

AM, waking between 6:00 and 7:00 AM. This is not enough sleep for me and I

find it harder to concentrate on this level of sleep. I think maybe the

dosage change has made me more wakeful. Also, I think my 'generic' made by

Mallinckrodt is quite effective and that I may not need to take 6 mg/day. I

will probably stay like this for another week or so and drop back to 4.5

mg/day.

Anyway, I thought I would report my experience in case anyone could benefit.

I also tabulated the ingredient lists that were posted the other day for

ReVia/Naltrexone in order to be able to do a side-by-side comparison. These

can be seen here: http://nathankennard.com/ldn/LDNfillers.htm .

Best wishes.
