Dee, this list has always allowed some soap discussion. However, this is not a soap list, has never been, and will never be. The fact that Maurice has decided to make a bar of soap is not going to change that. He discusses many products, but he doesn't consume the list with any one product. Pat. I will have to check again. ...........snip........then you can take the easy road and use the calculators.<g> >>>> The Lye Calculator you are apparently speaking of is at http://www.the-sage.com/calculator Kathy merely has a link to the calculator. On Kathy's site though is a SAP chart offered up by Theresa Lott. Maybe you were looking for that also? Look under the heading Designing Your Own Recipe. Dee, the main topic on this list for the past week has been soap. However, we did cover several different topics, from ingredients in M & P, labeling, to packaging, Rancidity, INS values, and SAP values. Several of those topics are useful to cosmetic/toiletries as well. I believe many of the members that have been around for a while know where I am coming from on the soap issue. I just believe that if you want to know about soap, you should join a soap list. Are you saying above, that if we were to discuss only Cold Process Soap for a week on your Hot Process list, that it would be ok with you? If so, how many times does this happen without you reminding people that your list is for hp only? Pat. Peace, Joy, Serenity House of Scents tm.
