Guest guest
I don't think that the side effects of vaccine adjuvants have been looked at closely enough. This may be what sets the immune system up for unintended consequences. One in 88 American kids has autism, according to the new figures. Among boys, it's one in 54. Why? One expert says: "Better diagnosis, broader diagnosis, better awareness, and roughly 50% of 'We don't know.'" Guest guest
Sharon: And if I might add to your comment...too many vaccines in too short of period of time to children too young. It is a triple threat that is causing our kids irreparable harm. I think this is most likely because of too many vaccines in too short of period of time. Sharon From: BreakingNews@... Guest guest
, Do you think that one out of 54 boys now has autism is a realistic number? That seems outrageously high to me. I wonder if they are lumping a lot of atypical behavior under the title of autism. I don't know near as much about this issue as you do. Guest guest
Sharon: Good question! This is my gut feeling...no evidence to back it up. I do not feel that number (i.e. 1 in 54) is all that outrageous and almost find it plausible, in boys. However, base this on the given that boys often have delayed verbal skills, compared to girls, and that one of the metrics for diagnosing autism is verbal ability. Moreover, the “diagnosis” of autism is very broad – from severe to mild, it is not without gray areas, and it is still poorly understood. For example, my oldest (now 21) was nearly 6 before he spoke in clear to understand sentences, he is a big kid, and he was diagnosed with autism when he was 3 because he appeared to be much older, he was not well coordinated, and he grunted a lot instead of speaking. This is when I knew very little about autism. He did not have autism! It is almost laffable now - that diagnosis. My other boy has autism, it was triggered because of his MMR vaccine at 24-months of age, and the differences are profound! Speech problems, cognitive difficulties, confusion, chemical sensitivities, verbal confusion, mood swings, emotional intolerance, etc. There is no comparison! My other boy still struggles, he is now 18, he has mild autism (Thank God!) and his diagnosis is much more clear and obvious. He is not “normal” yet he has learned to cope with many of his issues. I do believe he will be a productive member of society, but not a without difficulties and challenges in his life. Given the broad metrics with which autism is diagnosed, I find that number (i.e., 1 in 54) plausible. However, I am seeing another element involved that appears to be triggering the autism diagnosis when I believe is should not, and that is: cross dominance. While those with autism very often are also cross dominant, not all people that are cross dominant should be diagnosed as autistic. Moreover, kids that are found to be cross dominant at an early age, and when intervention is applied at an early age to align the dominance, more often than not really excel when the cross dominance is mitigated. Cross dominance is not necessarily an autistic trait, because it can be unlearned and dominance restored. I know of three kids in our network of friends who were cross dominant (e.g., left footed, right handed, right eyed, and left eared dominant), who were all diagnosed with Aspbergers autism, and when parents intervened to aligned the dominance, the pediatricians actually stated that the kids “grew-out” of their autism. So...I agree that some atypical behaviors are being lumped under the title of autism. Moreover, it may be that it is because autism is not clearly understood, there are many gray areas, and mild autism is accepted as a root cause of atypical behavior. We just don’t know all the answers yet. And it may be because boys do atypical and weird things at an early age – I had a grunter...and he grew out of it. Oh well. Boys will be boys....and I resemble that remark! Best, , Do you think that one out of 54 boys now has autism is a realistic number? That seems outrageously high to me.
