Building upon the success of the first conference, the 2012 conference aims to provide a platform for discussing energy and environmental issues and for initiating collaboration among building engineers, environmental scientists, architects, facility managers, and policy makers. The conference will provide a forum for discussion of the challenges and opportunities the international community faces, while enabling collaboration that encourages the participants from both developed and several of developing countries to work together to solve the world's most critical problems in designing and operating indoor built environment.Selected papers from the conference will be expanded and published in special issues of Journals including HVAC & R Research, Building Simulation, Energy and Buildings and Online Journal of Civil Engineering. It is expected that up to 1/3 of the paper will be accepted by these journals.
