Thanks ======== My mom only uses 4.5mg LDN and drinks Brownwood Acres Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate(good for cancer) daily and she takes two 500mg DL-Phenylalanine daily, one in AM and one in PM. It must be the DL-Phenylalanine, not the D-Phenylalanine nor the L-Phenylalanine but the DL-Phenylalanine. My mom had an aggressive breast cancer, had a lumpectomy and refused chemo. She started 4.5mg LDN April 2004 and is still cancer free. Make sure that your filler in you LDN capsules is NOT Calcium Carbonate. Calcium carbonate can be iffy...you can be sailing along just fine on CC and all of a sudden you might get a batch of LDN that is not any good because the Calcium carbonate got packed too tight in the capsule rendering the LDN to be sustained/slow release and LDN must release fast. The best 3 fillers especially for cancer victims are...Acidophilus, Lactose or Avicel(Cellulose).
Guest guest
Are you open to some very " out there " alternative health care? Have you heard of a Rife machine? I've never had the cancer challenge, but read that the Rife, a machine that sends out electrical currents (low) does reduce many cancers. You can Goggle and perhaps find practioner in your country. You can dialogue with a husband and wife in Oregon who have a free clinic with Rife and other modalitys. Email them at Hope.can@.... Guest guest
Hi , thanks for your informative posts (e.g. low dose naltrexone/message/28925 ). To follow-up on the precautions, I came across advice to avoid phenylalanine for any form of cancer. I'm primarily concerned about the melanoma note & need to go in and have my moles looked at (please wish me luck as I used to worship the sun:)!. Just curious if you had your moles examined before starting phenylalanine & if you feel protected from cancers by the LDN? http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00132.html : " Caution Cancer patients should avoid taking L-phenylalanine and L-tyrosine. Certain cancers, such as melanoma, depend on these amino acids to fuel their growth. " http://www.lef.org/protocols/prtcl-089.shtml : " Phenylalanine can promote the cell division of existing malignant melanoma cells. If you have melanoma, or any other form of cancer for that matter, avoid phenylalanine. According to a study in the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, three patients with metastatic melanoma and three with metastatic breast cancer took part in a study that involved a diet of phenylalanine and tyrosine administered at a very low dose (10 mg/kg/day for 1 month). The results were not good. Researchers reported that all the patients experienced anxiety and depression and other side effects. They also lost weight. The authors of this pilot study concluded: " Low phenylalanine and tyrosine diets do not appear to be a viable treatment option for patients with advanced cancer " (Harvie et al. 2002). " Let me know if you have other thoughts on this. Best Wishes All, - Josh > > Is there anybody else out there who is using LDN in conjunction with > > other things for cervical cancer? Dr. Bernard Bihari is the one who told my mom to take the DL-Phenylalanine and my mom's aggressive breast cancer has not returned nor has she developed any new cancer in 1 year & 5 months using 4.5mg LDN and no chemo. Her surgeon admitted that her cancer should be back by now without chemo. I do think that LDN can prevent autoimmune diseases and cancer from developing. There is a cancer specialist somewhere I read about on this forum who takes LDN as a cancer preventative and that says lots to me. If you are concerned about the DL-Phenylalanine then leave it off but do get the Brownwood Acres Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate.
Guest guest
That's wonderful news about your mom , the rationale behind Brownwood Acres Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate being: http://www.brownwoodacres.com/cherry_health.htm http://snipurl.com/hkl2 BTW, do you also feel that the melatonin in these cherry products have helped sleep cycles at all (or the initial LDN sleep issue)? I don't know about our friend that uses Tart Cherry for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I'll have to remember to ask next time I visit her town.
