Guest guest
Hi, everyone - I just had a visit from my landlord and the property manager of my rental house because I have complained of cat urine in the carpets. There is also some chemical that was used by the former tenant to either remove or cover the ammonia odor and the chemical is making me sick. I have been complaining to the property manager Since 11/9/11 but he refuses to accept that the former tenant's cats peed all over the house. I did purchase a UV light and it showed urine stains all over the house, then I hired a professional photographer to take clear photos of the stains under the UV light. We are going to move out of this house soon and I anticipate some kind of legal difficulties because I am going to have to break the lease, so I need to ask for suggestions. What is the best method to test for urine in the carpet? Do I need to hire an indoor air quality professional to take carpet fiber samples and have them tested in a lab? While the cat urine photos are very good, I don't think they are the concrete evidence I need, so any suggestions of who to hire and how to get concrete confirmation of urine in the carpets would be most welcome. Thanks so much. Carol
