Hello!

I hope this is ok to say- but I've had quite a drama with colonial

chemical. I ordered the blend free HV from chemistry store, and had

some trouble adjusting viscosity. (thickens by lowering ph with

citric acid). So, I tracked down manufacturer and talked to their

tech. support. Sorry to say I didn't write the name down. But, he let

me know that if the concentrate was dark in color (it was) and thin

to start out with (it was) that I could quote " wash my car with it " -

that they had a bad lot out there and were trying to track it down.

He sent out a sample of the good stuff- and it was a completley

different product. Much lighter, and much much higher viscosity.

Worked much better, so I ordered 5 gallons from them. I then called

the chemistry store to let them know that they had this bad lot, and

when they, and I, later, contacted Colonial Chemical they denied all

knowledge of a bad lot. I KNOW there was one, because I was looking

at 2 different things with the same label, and I know I wasn't

imaging my conversation. Anyway, if anyone is interested I ordered

the 5 gallon pail of coladet HV from colonial (the good stuff), and

am not using it. I have probaly 3 gallons left. I'll sell it cheap if

anyone wants it- contact me off list.

thanks,

in Milwaukee

>I ordered the blend free HV from chemistry store

FWIW,

Blend Free HV Premium Conditioning Shampoo Concentrate

CTFA Designation: Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Isostearylamphopropionate,

mine oxide, midopropyl betaine, Glycerin.

Blend Free LV Skin Cleanser, Shower Wash Concentrate

CTFA Designation: Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocoamphopropionate,

mine oxide, midopropyl betaine, Glycerin.

Blend HEB-Plus Herbal Shampoo, Bubble Bath, Bath Gel and Hand Soap Concentrate

CTFA Designation: Sodium Laureth Ether Sulfate, Sodium Laurel Sulfate.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Mountain Spring Water, Linoeamidopropyl PG-Dimonium

Chloride

Phosphate, Cocamide MEA, Jojoba Extract, Rose Hips Extract, Methyl Chloro

Isaothaizolinone, Methyl Chloro Isaothaizolinone, Tetra Sodium EDTA.

As far as I can tell, through personal experience and double checking myself

using the the CTFA dictionary, each of these ingredient declaration is

incorrect.

That certainly gives me concern.
