Guest guest
It is a result of parents or caregivers giving milk or juice propped and/or to pacify the child. The sugars and acids erode the teeth. The situation is being termed " baby-bottle tooth decay " or " rampant caries " . I heard there are a few children in my community with this situation. Any ideas would be appreciated about why this occurs and what to do about it. Thank you Deanna Berman, ND, CM Ithaca, NY

Guest guest
I've also seen this in a " healthy " breast fed child. Calc flour cell salts and the single remedy calc carb was helpful in this patient--in that the teeth he already had stopped eroding and the new teeth were stronger. The patient had also had topical fluoride painted onto his molars quarterly and the mom felt that he reacted poorly to this treatment.
