To be honest, I prefer only getting private e-mails if someone is having an LDN problem. I honestly don't want a ton of private e-mails sent to me. So I have my choice of reading the posts on this forum set for me to come on the forum daily and read the board. That way I can choose what posts and replies I want to read and ignore the ones that don't appear to be of interest to me. The way I do it, my inbox is not being cluttered by messages from this forum nor do I get a bunch of private e-mails that I have to try and determine if it's a spammer or someone from the LDN board. I get about 10 to 12 private e-mails from this board a month and that's just right for me.

In my opinion, if the reply might benefit anyone in a LDN situation, that's good. Who knows how many may benefit. Now if it's a reply to say, "Thanks" just send something private! It aggravates me to waste time with all of the "Thanks" messages!

I agree I think this is a very helpful, and informative site. If people do not want the information because it is to much mail, there loss I always get some good info. They should get off the list.

Get over it Sara -- it's already happening now, and you shouldn't try to stop it private emails from occurring. I'm talking here about flippant responses like "Thanks, Sara", sort of thing -- relax, you're being kept out of meaty topics where discussion might benefit others in the group, that you are clearly so worried about being cut out from or missing. I again ENCOURAGE you to limit specific remarks that you are making just to one person to them directly, vs. to all 1400 people in this listserv.

yes! i agree i have learned so much from all the information, i'm having a hard time understanding why people can't pick the option to not get so many emails and just go to the group and read what they want! its not that hard, so please keep responding for all of us who are benefiting
