The filler issue goes on and on and on! Truly, I believe, if one could go their neighborhood pharmacy and get LDN without it being compounded, nobody would question it! It would be like any other precription drug. People would just trust that they were getting what they needed and carry on! But the way it is now, we have choices as to which filler to use, and it does get confusing! To make matters worse, Dr Bihari tells some, supposedly to ask for lactose, as he doesn't believe it's enough to cause allergy problems. Then others he tells, again supposedly, to ask for calcium carbonate! We've been told by some that if the CC is packed too tightly, the LDN becomes 'slow-release.' How does one know for sure? We don't. Here's my suggestion as far as order of fillers; 1) acidophilous 2) Avicel 3) lactose 4) cornstarch 5) calcium carbonate. Truly, try whichever you want, and if you have a problem, try another!

The founder of LDN prefers one to use Lactose if the patient is not Lactose

intolerant. If you are Lactose intolerant ask for Acidophilus...no one has ever

complained of any negatives with Acidophulus(asid-off-a-lus) as a filler.

Others have used Avicel(Ay-va-cell) but if one is allergic to Avicel he/she

could experience nausea, vomiting and headache.
