Hi CJ,

When I had that problem I took linseeds, spread liberally on cereal[ a heaped dessert spoonful in the mornings worked for me...think they probably could be sprinkled on a pasta dish also.

Hope this helps.....regards,

sorry folks...don't know how to remove the text of email before I hit reply..

Dear CJ,

Magnesium works well - a little goes a long way - especially if you're not accustomed to taking it. Start out with a small dose and increase as you experience how it affects you. It can bring relief within a very short time but can also cause the opposite condition to appear quickly!

Good Luck,

Barb

Hello everyone,

A few weeks back there was some talk about what supplement to take for constipation and I cannot find it and was wondering if someone could answer that question. I have a terrible time even taking a stool softer. I hate asking these kinds of questions so please bare with me.

Thank you in advance.

This is what I wrote about it:

800 MG Magnesium, usually 2 or 3 days in a row, then I stop... then will do 2-3 days in a row, and stop. When I have plans to go places I usually stop 2-3 days prior no matter where I am in the cycle.

Sometimes magnesium 800 MG works TOO well.

I know there will be many responses... I put flax fiber or hemp protein fiber in my morning fruit smoothie.... and that seems to help... Also I do better when I eat enough veggies....

i recently discovered Rice Bran ( Ener-G brand) , it has 19 g of fiber...you can have it as a hot or cold cereal or mix it with fruit in a smoothie......works great:)
