Guest guest
Suzanne, I suspect Francois is vacationing, and he's probably the best to answer these, but I'll give it a try with the ones I know: > > Here are the names of Francois' screens: > C 15-19 percent total power This is a beta percent up (or you could change it to train beta percent down) protocol. It should be a one-channel protocol. > C4-6 over 15-19 This would be a protocol to train the theta/beta ratio either up or down. > C+D inhibit over C+D review No idea > D 12-15 percent total power This would be an SMR percent up protocol in one channel. > D- 23-38 over 12-15 This would train the high-beta/lobeta ratio, presumably down, in one channel > SMR-coherence test No idea > Here are the names of Pete's protocols that I am not sure which screen to use: > Alpha/beta symetry This is one we discussed in Montreal. Unfortunately it has not been translated to the Infiniti platform yet, so there isn't really an option. > 10-14 synch (sum difference ch) This would be a synchrony protocol in 2 channels, training up synchrony in fast alpha, using the process of adding the signals and subtracting the signals (per our discussion in the online workshop last Thursday. > Alpha Theta There should be one or more of these in your Legacy Suite protocols. Francois has not done one based on mine. > Coherence down I'm not aware whether there is one of these. > 1 Inhibit (2-9), 1 reward (10-14) and > 1C one inhibit ( Can I use a squish screen that is built for 2 > channels?) These are such basic, standard protocols, I can't believe that they are not included in the Legacy Suite that came with Infiniti. Take any protocol that trains up one band and down another and reset the frequency descriptions to fit the training plan. > 1 C SMR % up See notes above for this. Hope this is helpful. Guest guest
Pete, Thank you very much. Yes, it is very helpful. However, when I order a training plan from you that has these following protocols, what should I do ? Am I right in concluding that I should use the other protocols on the option sheet even if this one is the best according to your experience and should hope that Francois will build these screens for the Infiniti. >> Alpha/beta symetry > > Unfortunately it has not been translated to the Infiniti platform > yet, so there isn't really an option. >> Coherence down > > I'm not aware whether there is one of these. Are you saying that there are no screen on the Infiniti for this next protocol? > >> 10-14 synch (sum difference ch) > > This would be a synchrony protocol in 2 channels, training up > synchrony in fast alpha, using the process of adding the signals > and subtracting the signals (per our discussion in the online > workshop last Thursday. > >> Also, I have paid for the Conference call tomorrow at 11am but I have not received the URL number yet. I understand that we will discuss our own clients. Is there something else that we should know technically to make the best use our our time on line? I am really looking forward for these 2 hours. Guest guest
Yes. Some of the protocols in Bioexplorer really don't translate very well into Infiniti at present due to differences in how they are able to provide sound feedback. The Alpha Beta Symmetry is very useful and should be easily do-able (for Francois) in Infiniti. I suspect it's high on his list. Guest guest
You can work with coherence. It is one of the additions to Infiniti. Francois may or may not have done a coherence protocol (I'm not able to decode a few of the protocol names), and I would certainly expect there would be one in Legacy. You might check on the Thought Technology list as to what would be the names of the coherence, 1-channel one inhibit and 1-channel one inhibit/1 reward protocols in Legacy. Guest guest
Hi there, I just returned from vacation and I will answer these later tonight (I will have some time then). I gave a 3 day workshop in Mexico before my vacation, so I have to go back to the beginning of the month in my email review! Just a teaser for Pete and others interested: I do have now a fully functional 6 EEG channel Assessment for use with the ProComp Infiniti. It works as a charm in the transfer of data to your Excel file! Guest guest
Francois, Great to have you back! And I'm excited about the implementation of the 6-channel assessment. Looking forward to hearing more about it and getting a chance to try it out. Kris and I have been working on the assessment file that can handle all four opitonal sites in addition to the 5 standard ones. With that combination, it will be possible to do all 9 site pairs in 3 passes and have nearly double the data in about half the time!
