Guest guest
Hi CJ, Yes I did try LDN and for two weeks I did great and then I started stiffness so bad I could not walk and a lot of pain in my legs. I stopped LDN and have not tried it again. I' am taking B1 injection and liver extract injection along with Copaxone and the stiffness is gone along with the pain for the most part. I have been in a relapse for over a year and a half for the first time in my life and can not drive which I hate. I had a relapse two weeks after surgery and have been in one every since. I have talked to three people who have used Novanron with very good results. I' am a little worried about taking Novantron but what are my options? I cannot take the interferon's and steroids do me no good anymore. I have had RRMS for 18 years. I am thinking about trying LDN again to see how I do on it but expect it will cause me problems again. I took LDN for three months and the stiffness started after two weeks. Thanks for your imput, I have learned a lot from reading the E-mails on this site. Take care, Sally

You will have to have your doc write a script for 1 month 1.5mg then 2 months 2.5mg and then 3.0mg. Or do the liquid LDN and adjust dose yourself. I'd certainly try liquid LDN before I tried Novantrone. You can start out as little as .05mg in the liquid and slowly work your way up. Go to work on this ASAP...I think you'll be much better off. Have you read the possible long-term side-effects of Novantrone? If not, you certainly better.

I took it for almost 8 months before I noticed anything, and I had bad stiffness somedays and less on others. I still get stiff some days in the morning but it gets better later in the day. I take it b/c I am quite sure it has stopped progression, which is its main objective. I would try longer and experiment with times and dosages. I seemed more stiff on 3 mg than 4.5 compounded pills. Now I take liquid which seems better. I make it from the 50 mg pills. Arlene
Guest guest
Hi TJ, Thank you for your kind words. I think I will try LDN again. I tried the liquid and the capsules from Script. I will try the liquid this time again. I did try the 3.0 and they went up to 4.5 but it did not make a difference. I' am a little better now than I was then so I will see if it helps me this time. Thanks for your help. Sincerely, Sally
Guest guest
Sally, I don't know if you ever considered calcium eap injections but it was the major contributing factor to my recovery. Now I take LDN after my condition stabilized and I didn't want to continually take IV injections. I just do it once a month as a boost but it has worked for many people with no side effects except for a bad batch back in 1987 which could have happened to any product at anytime. I would say risk factor is zero with this treatment and like LDN, it makes you healthier in general. Also, if I can help you whatsoever, please e-mail me personally. There are mANY THINGS i HAVE COME ACROSS OVER THE YEARS WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT HELP BUT YOU HAVE nothing to lose and everything to gain. God Bless you and yours, Kathy Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: [MSersLife]respond to CJ Sally, I am so sorry that the LDN did not work out for you. Maybe this time around it will not cause the stiffness. My heart goes out to you more then I can tell you. Hopefully it will work at the 3.0 for you. I am at a lose of words for you. I've had decadron 11 times over the years and all but once it has worked. That was all there was out there at the time I was dx and after many years. Once I heard about the LDN there were three huge lesions. The one that scared the wits out of me was the one that was on my brain stem. I hate to think what would have happened if it were not for the LDN. I will pray for you. I wish there were something out there that would work for you. Hugs, CJOf all the blessings the Lord sends us....Friendship must be His favorite.
