Guest guest
Revia is the name brand of 50mgs of Naltrexone. The liquid way is best for me and gave me energy the next day after my first dose. I suggest you take 4.5mgs and mix 50mgs of Revia in 50mls of bottled water and try. Keep in Fridge. www.goodshape.net has homemade instructions of making LDN from 50mgs of Revia. Scroll to bottom and find homemade LDN. Now I have ruined my success and have to start over again. I really could tell after first 10 days something was wrong with generic. I have symptoms back after 25 days on the generic and I'm scared. I hope within a week back on Revia 4.5 liquid I'll be back to where I was. I assume my lesion is back active since I feel symptoms and NO, none of my symptoms ever got worse when I started LDN. I had all lesion pain gone by first week and that was on the crushed method so the generic must not be doing anything, nothing! I'm so mad and I asked for REVIA and went thru crap at pharmacy and then ended up with Generic. ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr I could hurt somebody right now!! Gonna call and see if my Revia is ready. I have a 9 day batch left to take so I have some thank goodness!! Rhonda > Rhonda, > > I just joined the site a few days ago, so forgive me for my ignorance. Is Revia a brand name for LDN? I am considering going on LDN for energy due to the ms fatigue. I have been debilitated (on the couch) for about 2 months now. It's good to know the generic did not work for you. > > Take care, Ann in Virginia > > > >> >
Guest guest
Thank you Rhonda. How much does it cost per day to make thr liquid? And, what exactly is it supposed to help? I know about helping the fatigue, but any other ms symptoms? Any testimonials would be great. Guest guest
one 50mg Revia pill last 10 days at 4.5mgs so 30 pills will last 10 months. www.medsmex.com Revia has only 28 pills so that will last 9 months and 10 days. Averaging $10 a month. If you have insurance and have a doc prescribe, then you will pay whatever copay you have. Mine is $35 for Revia which is great for 10 months of meds and that is $3.50 for 10 months to be well and normal. I have my doc write out script to say take One nightly and we both know how I'm taking 4.5mgs nightly. That way I get more for the copay. Have you read the www.low dose naltrexone.org site? That will give you info and Sammy Jo has a site also but can't think of the link right now. Other links too someone here can give you. Bradley has a LDN book out telling about her husband's experience with MS and meds and LDN. Main thing LDN does is Halt progression of different diseases with lots of people getting symptom relief along with halting. My dad is taking for prostate cancer and is on 4.5mgs now and doing ok with that dose. He's taking the compounded I tried but opening the capsules and putting in water since I told him the liquid method works better for me. I have One brain lesion. Symptoms for 10 years with last 2 rapidly progressing. I just had an MRI last year to confirm and had one in June after taking LDN for 5 months and the Active lesion was Inactive due to LDN and all symptoms gone but a little numbness. I had PAIN all over, numbness, balance problems, cognitive dysfunction, memory problems, shocking all over head and down neck, pricking pins all over (got that back now with the pain), legs would give out and had to limp sometimes and drag the right foot some. Can't think of what else but all that went away with the crushed except the Fatigue and the liquid method took care of that and also the memory got better and the cognitive dysfunction got way better. I felt NORMAL and had energy and it was great. That is why I'm freaking out about what the generic has done to reverse all this. The heat is getting to me today and on Revia it got 110 and I wasn't bother at all with symptoms from the heat. People that have bladder/bowel problems the LDN can help and I'll let others tell you what all LDN has done for them. Endorphins are anti- inflammatory and healers to the body and mood elevator, feel good! Neurohormones. On the liquid REvia I had a sense of well being and I noticed that went away first 10 doses on generic then went the energy and then came the damn pain etc. I hope within a week this can be reversed. I think the liquid is just absorbed better by some and I'm one of them and now I question all capsules I take if absorbing anything or less. Some others have tried the liquid method of 50mgs of Revia with better results. Rhonda > Thank you Rhonda. How much does it cost per day to make thr liquid? And, what exactly is it supposed to help? Guest guest
Rhonda, you keep saying your sinuses hurt. Make sure you don't have a cold or infection. This would definitely make you feel like sh-t.! Kiki

It sounds like you then tried the generic and it has brought you back to pre-LDN status. Hi Althea I'm also taking the generic that Rhonda was taking. It is made by Barr Labs and supposedly it has the same makeup as the Revia pills. I've not had the Revia so I have no comparison, but I've writtten to my doc to have him call in the name brand Revia. I hope he'll do it. I originally wrote him a letter asking him for a script for Revia pills. They called in a script for naltrexone, and the pharmacy told me that unless your doctor specifies Revia they usually fill with the generic. Guest guest
My mail was sent before I finished. If you get a prescription from your doc for the 50 mg pills, you have to tell him to specify the Revia brand, or you may get a generic. Guest guest
I hardly ever catch colds But I'm plagued with sinus and it's the barometer and the heat and humidity and Hurricane coming in closer. I can always nail it down b/c it happens with fronts/storms etc. It's insane and people think I'm crazy but the barometer causes my migraines also. The fronts can go thru and my nose pain/eye pain swelling let up. I have had this mess all week and we have had possible storms all week. Today my eyes are burning again and it is HOT as HELL and Humid as ever and the air is thick with Pollution!! Yep, I know the infection and had some before and they are Nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't use to be like this so just not sure. Had a broke nose way back and a rhinoplasty so......not sure if related or if the lesion can do any of this to make worse. Guest guest
I got my REVIA and got only one refill but that is better than NO refills. I figured the nurse had to run it by the doc before calling in and he probably flipped when she had written 6 refills. He knows I don't want to come back to him anyhow just to get a script. Well I've got 20 months of Revia but now I can't share with some people. I'm feeling a little better this afternoon so more endorphins must be kicking in. Sinus let up too. I have been one ill ass today tho and stayed at work. Rhonda
