,

I have been diagnosed with MS since 1984. I've written three books about MS www.copingandprevailing.com

I am basically anti-drug especially regarding the interferon's. Not sure if you would want or like my comments regarding current traditional medical practice and MS.

However, certain drugs surely have their place and are necessary. The most promising currently is "LDN" . It is in a clinical trial Penn State for Crohn's Disease and is being investigated for MS at the Univ. of Iowa. It has no negative side effects.

No doubt that there are a lot of things that one can do to help themselves without drugs and that is the focus of my books.

I will send any of these books to anyone with ms that cannot afford to pay for them

RE: [MSViews_Multiple_Sclerosis] Toxic Drugs or Terrorists: Which One Kills You Quicker?

Hi

I joined the group a month or so ago, because the past year I have had a TIA (brain attach) and recently had to go to ER as my vision was blurred, memory loss, etc.. It was determined after tests (MRI, blood, heart) that the MRI shows a likelihood of MS (same as last year though my neurologist did nothing in that arena, but he did give me prescriptions for TIA). I am seeing a new neurologist on Monday and bringing all previous tests with me.

I want to let the group know that I am mother of three kids (twins that are 25 now, and my youngest is 12). My son was diagnosed with a high functioning form of autism called Asperger Syndrome when he was six (though he was identified in preschool with a "learning disability"). Since my son has been four I have been on a mission to help educate the public about autism (advocating for other families, organizing conferences on autism, started the walk for autism in 2002) and last year started my own radio show every week, DisAbility News & Views. The show is broadcast from a local radio station but this month I will begin broadcasting the show on the internet to broaden the listening audience and have more guests on each week. I have been paying for the airtime to have this show since June 2005, even though I do have sponsors, the costs to run the show exceed what I take in.. I believe this will change in the coming months!

I would like to schedule a show about MS - current treatments, background, etc.with people that have personal experience, as many of you do. I have a close friend with MS who was on the show last year. She shared information with listeners about her health and effective treatments she has utilized.

I am learning alot from this group...... Pleasel contact me if you are interested in being on the radio show (by phone)....

Thanks!

Moshenko
