Guest guest
Today, I delight in the playful side of me.I was young for the first 6 to 8 years of my life. After that, I was put in charge of my younger sibling. My parents were absent most of the time, physically and emotionally. As the control went to my head, I quickly became an old, resentful individual in a young person’s body. I didn’t realize until a few years ago that I still had an inner child. That child was frightened of everything, so, at first, I had to coax him out to play. The more he was willing to play with me, the more I let go of being over-responsible for others and under-responsible for myself. The day I stop playing is the day I start growing old.
