There was a time when I did not know the meaning of “Look before you leap.†If there was something I thought I wanted, nothing would stand in my way. I would leap, find myself deep into circumstances I knew nothing about, try to manipulate my way around and through the situation, procrastinate, then eventually, and justifiably, wiggle my way out of it. I have found that I save a lot of time and energy when I take each situation and logically assess it before I make a decision about participating.
