Guest guest
I have a similar situation at home. My autistic son keeps hitting his brother. It has just started in the last couple months so we had a Behavourist come in and she suggested that for each hour that he is good he receives a dime and we try to praise the good behavour. We set up a weekly schedule around school, workers etc and it comes to around $5.00 per week. If he gets $5.00 per week he then can rent a movie. If he doesn't get a total of $5.00 per week then he still gets whatever dimes he has collected but no movie. So far its working. There is more hours in a week that he can earn more dimes but I use this as extras so that if he does hit he has a few breaks. He still hits but not as often. We also use a dime holder so that each day he counts how many dimes he gets and he puts them in the holder so he sees it building up. Good luck.
