Guest guest
Extraneous Text deleted by Moderator Hi Cheryl, I am currently reading " Full Catastrophe Living: Using the wisdom of your body and mind to face stress, pain, and illness " by Jon Kabat- Zinn. It is mostly about meditation but it has some great general words on how our minds can work against us in difficult times. I am finding it very helpful already, even though I haven't reached the chapters about pain. I am a very down-to-earth person who before this last horrible year would have laughed at the idea of meditating - but it really helps relax me, especially if it is 2:00AM and my back is killing me. Another author that has been recommended to me is Joan Borysenko. I have asked for books by her for Christmas, and will keep you posted on what they are like. Good luck, and if you find any other useful books, let me know. Diane (Vancouver, B.C. Canada)
Guest guest
Hi all, I would also recommend that everyone take a look at Sarno's book called Healing Back Pain, Find it cheap here www.gotobackpainbook.com Although it may not be for everyone, I can almost guarantee that it will contain at least one or two pieces of information that will be very useful. It is dirt cheap and well worth it. I was shocked to hear that it is one of the top selling books on Amazon....that made me buy it and I wasn't disappointed.
