Guest guest
Thanks for your thoughts, . Don't feel bad about getting all of the e-mails, I was in Seattle for the Cervical Spine Research Society meeting for 2.5 days and came back to 227 e-mail messages. And no, they weren't all offering me a free three day trial at ines Peekaboo Boutique. My vision for the listserve is to try to represent everyone else's visions for the most fluid and open communication system possible. I think that it is pretty clear that it should be DCs only, and that is the way it will stay. The two notable exceptions are Shirley Fox of the CAO, and Dave McTeague of the OBCE. I think that Shirley is an appropriate addition, and can be considered part of the profession since she deals with many DCs every day. With regard to Dave McTeague; there is probably no one in this state who knows more about the dirty laundry of the profession than him. Although I know that there are some who may have had a run-in with Dave, I believe that he is a stand-up guy who is doing a tough job. The more that he knows about the profession, the better he understands where the DCs are coming from, and the better he can do his job to the satisfaction of all concerned. He has as much right to be on this list as any DC. If anyone knows of any other non-DCs on the list, please point them out to me (or point yourself out to me) so that we can identify them, and let everyone know who is listening. Guest guest
Hi Pam, Welcome to the list, I read your posting with interest. Unfortunally, I could not help you. Let's hope that someone can. As for facial nerve, rest assure that most surgeon have a nerve specialist with him/her to monitor the nerves using some kind of nerve monitor while in surgery. It is my understanding, it is very rare that anyone would have any nerve problems. Your letter is first that I heard of " spinal leaks " . The surgery itself enter the ear from behind the ear, through the skull. Don't be alarmed, it is really just as common as having your tonsils taken out. Please do come and post again anytime you have question. Lee
