Need Help in Mumbai

My wife is coming to Mumbai - and surprisingly is very anxious about the trip

to the Mahanagri for the first time. She is to make presentations at Nair, KEM

and at Scion. She is looking for accommodation and assistance in Mumbai. She

would be in Mumbai between 27 January and 2nd February. The organizers suggested

a few hospitals close to the venue but we are confused which one would be

suitable. My wife is a faculty in ENT at PGIMER in Chandigarh and would be

traveling alone on this trip.

The hotels suggested are Hotel Shantidoot, Dadar; Hotel Bawa Regency, Dadar

East; Hotel Midtown Pritam, Hotel Avon Ruby, Pals Hotel. We are looking for a

hotel in the range of 2500 to 3500 per day. Safe.

Please let us know if you or anybody you know at these hospitals would be able

to help her.With regardsAshish

Hi Ashish,

I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Shantidoot and Bawa Regency some time

back.

Hotel Shantidoot is very close to Tata and KEM. Just walking distance. It is

very safe and rooms are < 3500. It has a restaurant which serves excellent

Gujrati thali (one person cannot finish it ). On it's ground floor there is a

wholesale saree bazar. I am sure Madam can spend hours and hours there and you

must be prepared for an onslaught on your pocket. I bought two sarees, however my

wife passed them on to her maids. But the rooms are pathetic. You just can't

use their linen. So carry your personal towels etc.

Hotel Bawa Regency is a little away. One has to take a three wheeler to reach

Tata/ KEM. But it is relatively new and well maintained. It is also safe and

rooms are < 3500.

Sorry no experience about other hotels.

Do not worry because Mumbai is still safer as compared to some

other places. Shantidoot will be a good option. Take care . Sanjeev kishore
