, sorry but I find your poll is too vague and not well

expressed, probably because your native language is not English. If

you are asking people to vote, then make clear statements about what

they are voting for or against. For example:

I want members to be limited to 3 posts per day.

I want moderators to delete all posts with inappropriate sexual

references.

I want moderators to warn members when they post anything without

reference to the Work.

I want moderators to allow anything to be posted.

I want moderators to warn members not to post one-liners expressing

appreciation, love or attention for each other.

I want moderators to remind members to edit out any unnecessary

material from previous posts.

I want moderators to permanently block the posts of members who

consistently disregard the wishes of the majority of members on this

list.

I want moderators to remind members of the purpose of this list when

the conversation begins to stray.

Once you have the poll results both you and must be prepared

to actually take some action and do something. You will never have

100% agreement on what should or should not be done, but if a

reasonable number of members want something then you should respect

their wishes. You might actually get a decent response to your poll

if the members actually believed that their votes could REALLY

change what happened on this list. Right now I have no wish to

respond to your poll because neither you or have expressed the

least interest in becoming serious moderators of this list.

Just some thoughts :)

Dear ,

I want to let you know that I give you permission to pull the plug on

Loving What Is. I had an opportunity to do that after Carol Skolnick

left and Tom Barron was no longer interested in moderating the group.

I believe that this group no longer serves the purpose it was intended

for. I decided not to end at that time because of the rich archives

found here in the posts and also the text found in the files. Now I

wish I would have! But,I don't know what would happen to that material

once the group just ends....does Yahoo archive?

I suggest folks visit Doing The Work yahoo group (Steve Cole's group)

All the best....

**Don´t agree. I did not start this poll. I wasn´t asked by the

other moderator if I as a moderator found it necessary to have this

poll. Therefore I don´t share your story that I must be prepered to

do anything.

it´s alexanderandmaria. Note my protest.

**I have asked you before how you would like to see me moderate this

list. That was a serious question. You didn´t answer. So who is

serious? Now, let me ask you again, what would you want me to do as

a moderator to make this group a better place for you to be in?

There is no way for me to know if you don´t answer, I am not a

mindreader. And as you know, we can always ask for things and that

doesn´t automatically mean we get them.

You have in the past give me great advice to question my thoughts

instead of trying to find happiness in other people´s actions. I

would like to return the favour. This is my advice to you Love and

everyone else here, including me: ask for what you want, and if

you´re not satisfied with what you get, fill out a Judge Your

Neighbour Worksheet and ask the 4 questions.

Just some of my thoughts.

Thank you,

Hi ,

I think a " real " poll like the one I suggested could help you know

what everyone really wants on this list (including me), then it would

be up to you and to decide whether or not to implement the

suggestions. My list of ideas was only to indicate what might be asked

I am sure that other members of this list could also add their own

suggestions. Once we had a list of poll items that everyone agreed on,

then we could have a more meaningful poll.

I was lumping you and together only because you are

moderators. I think if you are going to ask how people really want

this list to be moderated (via a poll), then you have to be prepared

to implemement those ideas or the poll is useless.

My apologies if you thought I was lumping you Tami and together

that was not my intention.

Have a beautiful day :)

The question is if the moderators should take any measures when " too

much " " off-topic " discussions are going on, starting with gentle

reminders, for example.

I want to take the results of the poll to see where the contents go

from " helpful " to " off-topic " to " annoying " for most of the members.

Some may see all posts as helpful, some may not.

I will take the results of the former poll as a guideline for what

the group members want. You may want to express your opinion there,

or not.

Dear nne,

nice to hear from you!

And thank you for your permission.

As I understand it, this groups serves as reference

point for people who have questions, and look for aid

or understanding in matters regarding the work in

*ANY* way.

And maybe even as a place to find things to question

their thoughts.

Now, there may be enough places to find anything worth

questioning already, and the group may not have to be

one.

Anyway, I can't see anything else in most postings -

no matter how far off-topic it would be - than a cry

for help.

And I don't want to turn someone down who is asking

for help.

The rest of the postings are an offering for help.

I highly recommend the doing-the-work group, and am

glad for any assistance it would get.

And I do ask anyone who posts there to respect the

groups guidelines.

That group was created for people who do not wish do

discuss the work, as a method, but who would rather

actually do the work.

This group, on the other hand gives an opportunity to

do the work, AND to discuss it.

To keep it from getting too far astray, I have to find

out what that would mean to group members. I do have

difficulties keeping up with every post. Especially if

I take an " offtime " of a day or two. I usually just

skip the posts that have been posted, then.

And I don't really see people discussing anything else

than beliefs, here.

nne,

I am very grateful that you didn´t delete this group! Thank you.

Being apart of this group means so much to me. I don´t know what

stories you have about what the purpose of this group was intended

for.

My story is that this is one of the few Yahoo-groups that is not

regulated with rules, such as " put trigger on posts that might upset

someone " , prohibitions to discuss topics that might trigger someone

such as sex, religion, politics. You don´t get thrown out of the

group or get a warning if you attack someone or call people nasty

things or use a foul language.

Let´s say that we do as so many other groups, start regulate what

people can say and discuss in this group. Do you think this will

encourage the pourpose of this group, which according to this groups

homepage is:

" This group is intended to support people interested in experiencing

the four questions and the internal clarity and kindness that enter

our lives as a result. It is intended to focus on the sourcebook for

The Work, Loving What Is. "

I don´t think so. And maybe that was not what you ment either.

What I want to say is that 90% of all the Work I do, I do either in

this group or in the Doing the Work-group. I love both of the

groups, but the difference with the 2 groups are that in the Doing

the Work-group you are only suppose to do the Work and support

eachother in that. Here I have an opportunity to let all my thoughts

out. Isn´t that what the Work is all about, our thoughts?

Sometimes I am not capable of doing the Work. Sometimes I just need

to vent first. Many times a discussion in this group has made me to

question painful thoughts that I wasn´t aware of was controlling my

action towards my daughter, my sister, my father. Or myself.

I just want to say that I am so thankful for this group and all the

wonderful, wise, supporting, amazing people in it. Thank you.

Deep gratitude,

For the record

I love all posts, even lovetheworkofBK's.

He annoys me a lot, with his try to argue what is instead of questioning his

thoughts.

But that is not a reason to throw him out, he give me material to do the

work.

Lovethework should not be annoyed from the posts in the group, and simply

delete what he founds irrelevant for him.

Is that true?

NO

How do I react?

I feel uneasiness in my body

I feel that he is wrong for wanting to control this list

I feel that he is not doing the work to free himself

I feel that I am mad at him

DO I have a stress free reason to keep the thought?

NO

Who would I be without the thought?

I would see him has someone who share his opinion

I will be happy that he says what he belive in

I will just delete his mails if I am not interested in his opinion

TA

Lovehtework should be annoyed from the posts in the group - Truer

Maybe that is his path.

I should be annoyed from lovethework

True, sometimes I am

Any more turn around's, lovethework?

I can find a TA that goes like this. My thinking about LTW's posts

annoys me.

I love LTW's posts, they show me what I need to question about me.

I annoy me when I think LTW annoys me. (sometimes) Then I can do the

work and LTW is just LTW.

Peace and freedom in the moment!

Hi ,

Here is a list of what I would like to do if I was a moderator, just

my preferences :)

I would limit members to 3 posts per day.

I would delete all posts with inappropriate sexual references.

I would warn members when they post anything without reference to

the Work.

I would warn members not to post one-liners expressing appreciation,

love or attention for each other.

I would remind members to edit out any unnecessary material from

previous posts.

I would permanently block the posts of members who consistently

disregard the wishes of the majority of members on this

list.

I would remind members of the purpose of this list when the

conversation begins to stray.

Please note that I am not arguing with what this list is now,

because that would be insane. I notice that from the space of peace

and clarity within me, love would move me to act as above if I was

moderator.

As for what you should or shouldn't do as a moderator well that is

none of my business, so I can't help you there. I want to be self-

realized not or realized.

Have a beautiful day :)

fools don't fall in love. Only a fool would believe the lonely,

stressful thoughts that tell him that anything could separate him

from another human being, or from the rest of the human race, or

from birds, trees, pavement, and sky. " Byron

Hi ,

I think that limiting the posts to three would be brilliant. If a

limit is imposed people might think more carefully about which posts

they responded to. They might think twice about posting one-liners of

love, approval or appreciation, because that would quickly use up all

their posts. It would dramatically reduce the amount of traffic on

this list. People could actually catch up with all the posts if they

didn't read the list for a week or more. I could go on, but I hope you

see how useful a posting limit could be. Of course it doesn't have to

be three, it could be four or five or whatever the group as a whole

was most comfortable with.

Have a beautiful day :)

" Love is what you are already. Love doesn't seek anything. It's

already complete. It doesn't want, doesn't need, has no shoulds. It

already has everything it wants, it already is everything it wants,

just the way it wants it. So when I hear people say that they love

someone and want to be loved in return, I know they're not talking

about love. They're talking about something else. " Byron
