Although the ABLLS, Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills, is an

assessment. It is also very useful for the purpose you describe. It does

still need some interpreting though, for how to go from one skill in one

area to the next skill in a different area. For example: You need to know

that if the student can tact X number of words, when should you start an FFC

program? What are the prerequisites for following 2 step directions? Etc.

Another book that is helpful is " A Work In Progress " . This book has more of

a curriculum feel and is user friendly. A good combination is to use both

books together.

[ ] ABA and curriculum content

Hi,

I have an inhome aba program. Our provider follows a basic outline of

lovaas for the content and the senior devises programs. The problem is

her programs have no real content or development flow in which the

programs build upon one another.

Is there a good pre-school curriculum guide that can be used to

provide the content for my aba program?

Thanks,

Alice

You might use the ABLLS (The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning

Skills) by Partington and Sundberg. It is not totally complete, but it

is an excellent start. You can supplement it with anything else you

find, but I would suggest adding the RDI (Relationship Developmwent

Intervention) social development stages from www.rdiconnect.com
