Guest guest
Several english-speaking families in Europe are looking for individuals to provide intensive intervention and shadowing to their children. The position is for a period of anywhere between four and eighteen months - depending on your availability. Our ideal would be to find someone to start mid August and who could commit to either December 2005 or June 2006. Interested candidates ideally have at least two years experience working as an early intervention teacher/therapist. Alternatively, it would be possible to train someone with less experience, provided they can begin asap and are prepared for a steep learning curve! Each programme is supervised by Phd psychologist, BCABA and/or BCBA. Important qualities include: - interest and motivation in developing a relationship with child / family - warm, kind, friendly, solutions-oriented and self-motivated - ability to enhance peer and sibling relationships - preference for NET teaching, understanding of ABLLS/different programmes - skill in use of reinforcement - an interest and understanding of importance of relationship based-play based intervention - able to rework programme on a week to week basis and liaise with school - willingness to learn and adapt to new ways of teaching, working - excellent communications skills International travel, accommodation, local transport and monthly stipend provided. We look forward to discussing further details with you. Please pass this message on to colleagues or friends who you think may be interested! __________________________________________________
