If you can see the menu choices and they look grey or dim, this means that they are not operational. One possibility is that you have not opened a Design yet.

Without a Design that has been loaded, there is no Instruments screen to be accessed.

To open a Design, one clicks on "Design" to the left of "Instruments" and then on "Open" in the pull down menu.

BioExplorer novice

New to the program I am playing with it. I don't know what I have done but I can not access any more the different choices in the menu Instruments (edit layout, …., detach.). I see them. Before I could access them. Anybody can explain m what can I have done and most important what have I to do to use the instrument menu again?Thank you

Marco,

Sounds like you have Detached the window. If you look down on the Start bar

across the bottom of your screen, you will see both BioExplorer and Instruments1

or Instruments2 (depending on which one you are having trouble with. If so, you

selected Detach Window in the Instruments menu. That's helpful in terms of being

able to drag the whole window off onto a second monitor. To re-attach it, go to

the Insturments menu on the window and select Re-Attach Window. Once it is

connected again, you should be able to use all the menu items, and it will

disappear from the Start bar.
