Hi all -

My name is Nash and I'm the mother of a 7year-old autistic

boy. I saw your group on and would personally like to know

more about the Applied Verbal Behavior type of ABA therapy. To that

end, I'm passing the following information along to you and hope

that you will consider submitting a story to our book. Thanks for

Celebrating Stories Seeking Submissions

Do you have an autistic child, brother, sister, grandchild, cousin,

friend? Do you know someone with Pervasive Developmental Disorder,

Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Asperger Syndrome, Fragile X, mental

retardation, Syndrome or other Genetic Disorders, Attention

Deficit Disorder, or other developmental delays? Do you like to

write or want to share your story? If you answered yes to any of

these questions, we would like to hear from you!

Celebratingstories.com is accepting submissions for a Special Needs

Parent Resource Guide. We are looking for original stories in the

following areas:

Early Detection and Getting the Diagnosis

Treatments, Therapies and Programs

Medical, Holistic and Alternative Treatments

A Crash Course on the Law

School Programs -- Pre-Schools, K-12, and Adult programs

(homeschooling)

The Individual Education Plan

State Benefits and Services

Insurance

Research

Success Stories - Coping with Special Needs Everyday

Stories must be from 500 - 1350 words in length and we will also

accept a side bar, with resources that is up to 300 words long. If

you include a side bar, it will not count as a separate article.

Thus, 1,650 words is the maximum length with a side bar -- no

exceptions!!! All stories must be submitted by midnight Eastern

Standard Time on August 31, 2005. Chosen stories will be notified

by October 2005. Pay is between $25- $75 per article depending on

length and relevance.

Celebrating Stories focuses on sharing first-hand stories in a

resource guide format to inspire and encourage parents while at the

same time giving helpful tips - just like they get from a friend or

neighbor. Don't miss out on getting your story in this inspiring

book, written by parents, friends and family, for other parents,
