I've been very active with local orgs. in the Los Angeles area and with Cure Autism Now (I chair their audit committee). I'm a lawyer by training, but I have written several legal books and began writing a special needs column for an African-American parenting magazine called www.celebratingchildren.com --in the hopes of getting more discussion of autism in minority communities. To this end, I (along with the editors of celebratingchildren) have started to put together a Parenting Resource Guide. I saw your group on and would personally like to know more about . To that end, I'm passing the following information along to you and hope that you will consider submitting a story to our book and/or passing this along to others in your group. We plan to cover basic information on many disorders in this book and and it would be helpful to get information on from parents who have experience with it first hand. Thanks for your time.
