Guest guest
Hello, My name is Amy Sexton. I have a B.S. in Speech Pathology, a M. Ed., and a BCBA. I have worked in many school settings as well as taught in a communications classroom (designed for children with autism). For the last two years I have enjoyed privately working one on one with children with autism. I am now consulting but I am a teacher at heart. I meet with the children I see every week and have a full therapy session, except when a meeting is scheduled. I prefer this schedule because I can keep programs going at optimal speeds. I implement the program as well as plan, so I can stay on top of targets that have been mastered. This enables me to move on quickly to the next important skill. Many times a child may not respond to a program exactly the way a consultant plans, and a therapist may not know how to make small changes to the program. This is not the case with my programs because I will be monitoring them weekly and communicating with those who are also implementing the program. I feel that children's early years are precious when it comes to learning language. I am able to give optimal attention to your child's program. I am passionate and idealistic about my chosen work and I am always searching for the most effective way to teach children. Amy Sexton M.Ed. BCBA 469 569-9989 amyecco@...
