I am grateful to you for sharing your experiences, and very sorry and sad about the nature of the situation your son has been going through. I don't feel I have any insight into what should be done. I think that montoring yeast VERY CAREFUL, or even treating it (whether apparently needed or not) might be worth considering. (I have been treating myself for yeast almost continually for some time, but am using a treatment that I think is really benign--- so this may not be a similar situation if the yeast treatments themselves have negatives??) Your combination of upset about chelation and still wondering if lead may be a big problem makes total sense to me. I hope Andy may have some thoughts about lead chelation. I might also go read everything available on lead poisoning--- Turning Lead Into Gold, research, whatever..... I think another hair test would be reasonable to see if it says anything new. And I hope your doc has ideas of what else to test for. Reading about Tourettes treatments might also potentially be some use (not because your kid has Tourettes, but because the symptoms look alike.) Of course, if it is one of those " medicine has no clue " type things, why bother. Again, these are just thoughts that come to mind in the couple of minutes I've spent writing this note, and are not profound. all the best to you and to Noah---- I am so sorry he has been through this trial! >> Moira, Thank you for your sweetness and concern. I am still determined to address this lead problem. I know that mercury is somehow involved. I was immunized with Hep. B when I was pregnant so I won't be surprised if mercury is in my son an will show later. I plan to take it easy and try chelating again. I just need to understand this better. A. I do " eat " alot of ginger right now, is there anything else you can think of that is natural? My oncologist has prescribed phenegren, and I did read the posts on it several weeks ago, however it makes me sleepy, and I am also taking dilantin...I have no idea what that may be doing to my immune system! Any info will be helpful, Ramona .. .. >>> Ramona GInger, fresh or dried, is by far the best for nausea as well as to improve blood flow to the extremities. Perhaps give it another try, more frequently. Another option is peppermint (not spearmint). Just open a bottle of peppermint extract and smell it and see it that helps. mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
My wife in 1996 had the same med (dilantin) and also had radiation for her brain tumor. she developed what is called s-s sysdrom. Its where the body starts to attack it self creating large areas that look like burns on the skin. So look early for any areas that might become swollen or have fluid like what happens to a burned area. Hope you don't get this its not nice. Check it out. This si something the drug company never tells you. PS there were 3 other people at the same hosiptal that get the s- reaction from taking radiation and dilantin at the same time. Good luck!!! God bless you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > In a message dated 8/25/2004 9:45:53 AM Eastern > Daylight Time, > writes: > From: " Ramona " <ramona@...> > Subject: Re: Soft Tissue Sarcoma? > > What is ntense by raintree? > > Recently I am suffer from nausea, nothing sounds > real good to eat, and if my > stomach is upset, food does not stay down long. Guest guest
Than you for the info. I have not had radiation since mid May. I did call the oncologist and he reduced my dilantion level. Any other info on dilantin I would appreciate. Thank you, Ramona Re: Soft Tissue Sarcoma? > > What is ntense by raintree? > > Recently I am suffer from nausea, nothing sounds > real good to eat, and if my > stomach is upset, food does not stay down long. Guest guest
My head spins when dealing with any legal papers. With regard to the Save Our Supplements campaign, has the proposal be accepted or denied? I couldn't tell from the post whether the poster was happy that so many people responded with letters or that it went further and our voice was respected and the measure was voted on accordingly. I have been checking our local papers which reports on bills that are being passed or not, and haven't seen a word about this Codex bill. Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks,
Guest guest
Benedryl sometimes works, but may have the opposite effect in some kids, so you might want to test it first.
