I have an ongoing RLS case that has not responded to anything yet. We are doing

BTG's

and have done 3 rounds of UNDA's, various forms of Mg,

This is here last report.

Something wakes me up around 2-3 hours after I go to sleep, I'm not sure if I

have had

limb movements that wake me up or it's something else triggering it. I've read

that many

people with RLS also have periodic limb movement and it's kind of like sleep

apnea in that

it rouses you enough to breathe but not always enough to bring full

consciousness so that

can cause the daytime fatigue.

For me, I wake up then I am almost immediately uncomfortable, the whole body,

then I

turn over, only to find I'm doing it again within a minute. Then I start

wiggling one of my

legs, usually my right one, and that isn't enough activity to make the leg(s)

feel calm, so I

end up getting up to pace the floor for a couple of minutes. The thigh, knee to

hip is what

feels like it wants to move, it's like an urge to go out running. The pacing

usually helps

calm the legs enough to go back to sleep fairly quickly, but some nights it's

awake again

and pacing in a hour, last night it didn't work and I got up about 10 minutes

later to pace.

Then I slept for a little, not sure how long, woke up with the same feelings, I

didn't pace

but laid on my back and bicycled my legs in the air for awhile (looks silly I

imagine). Slept

for awhile again and repeated that. It's exhausting.

Sometimes the RLS happens in the late afternoon/early evening when I want to

come home

and relax for a bit before making dinner and I find I can't keep my legs still,

I keep

crossing/uncrossing them. Sometimes happens in the car when I'm a passenger,

it's nasty

if it happens on a plane where you're sot stuck you can't even move.

,1. You could try UNDA 219 in there, next round. Maybe drop the 243.2. You could try topical magnesium gel to the legs, I have had several patients with IBS get good results with this.3. I have been using Spasm-gen with some success but maybe Calm-gen would work better? Everyone loves Calm-gen in my practice at least. And I take it too, it's great before bed. 4. I am also thinking of the single remedies--perhaps you aren't treating the right miasm? Although Dr. Gueniot gives Zinc (with Lachesis) as two best rxs for restless legs there are many other remedies which cover:

Zinc is mostly tuberculinic and she may do better with some Medorrhinum periodically, like 200K every other week for 3 months. I like Aconite a lot and use it frequently, you have to dose them every night with 5CH. If she is psoric then try Aconite with Psorinum (which also has tremendous restlessness at night). Also, Causticum is good for RLS in the psoric person. If she's luetic the Aconite may still be a good choice and add in Hyoscamus which is another biggie for RLS. Check that one out. Also for the luetic, try good old Chamomile in low potency. I don't see this person as predominantly tuberculinic, if you do, then I don't have many ideas on that :) Good Luck. Keep us posted.
