Guest guest
, This what I would do: I would go for sight word recognition using flashcards. For example : If the child needs to read a particular book I would make flashcards of all the words ... help with sight word recognition. This will make him feel less frustrated when he's reading. Hope that helps. -Suman Message: 1 Date: Fri, 08 Jul 2005 01:10:39 -0000 From: " kathryn_chay " Subject: CV (consonant-vowel) phonetic reading hi to all in the list! I have one student who really finds it hard to read a Consonant-Vowel pattern, though he can express each sound. Example combination of the sound a and m. he whines and stims a lot due to frustration that he cannot combine the sound of the two. Would it be also difficult for him to read words later on? He has few sight readings (words) and it takes me two weeks before he masters 1 word. I need some advice. I am sad in seeing him frustrated, and it frustrates me more too. Please help. thanks a lot in advance sincerely, kathryn --------------------------------- Sell on Auctions - No fees. Bid on great items.
