Guest guest
Please excuse the crosspost, but I am trying to gather a reference list to give to parents of newly diagnosed children... Hi all, I live in a state where early intervention rarely mentions ABA or EIBI if they can avoid it. So there is a fair proportion of young ASD kids who are receiving 6-10 hours/week of generic special ed with a little speech thrown in, or a more " intensive " program of the above with 5 hours per week of 1:1 DTT. 2 questions--- 1. How did you find out about ABA/EIBI therapy as an option/choice for your child? 2. If you wanted to give a newly diagnosed family something to read to let them know the effectiveness of ABA for their child, what would that be? For me it was " Let Me Hear Your Voice " , but there may be newer or more persuasive writings and articles out there... TIA--- Regina F. " The idea is to try to give all the information to help others to judge the value of your contribution; not just the information that leads to judgment in one particular direction or another " Feynman ABA rules.
