Guest guest
Hi Everyone, We are looking at relocating within New Jersey to a district that is commutable to the Hatboro/Horsham area of PA (just North of Philadelphia). Our son will be entering first grade in the Fall. He is " high-functioning. " He was in an inclusion classroom for Kindergarten with the assistance of an aide. His needs for school at this point really center around having a competent behaviorist supervising his program to deal with avoidance behaviors and around help with socialization (he enjoys other children, but needs support, again, for his avoidance which I think is largely anxiety-based). He is not yet fully fluent with his expressive language but is getting there! Also, in the inclusion setting our son does much better with small- group instruction. We have heard good things re the Hopewell Township schools. Does anyone out there have any other suggestions? Thanks,
