Guest guest
End Procrastination – Get Things Done! by Jane “I should get that done; I’ll do it later.†Sound familiar? It’s called procrastination and we all do it, but for some women it’s a way of life. Procrastination makes you feel both indecisive and guilty – indecisive because you choose to postpone what must be done and guilty for not doing, now, what you need to do. The more often you procrastinate, the weaker you feel. If you’re in the habit of putting things off, try this. Next time you’re faced with a project, take a look at what you want to accomplish. Tune into the reasons for your resistance and then honestly ask yourself, “Is this something I can start, now?†Most of the time the answer is “Yes.†So, start! See yourself as someone who makes solid decisions. When you commit to something honor yourself and stick with it until it’s done. You’ll empower yourself and the desire to procrastinate will, slowly, disappear. True success is based not on how obnoxious you can be, but on how helpful and valuable you can make yourself. True success is based not on how hateful of spiteful you can be, but on how much love you can inspire. True success is based not on how much glamour you can project, but on how much beauty you can see and appreciate. True success is based not on how much you can take, but on the real value you are able to create. When everything you do is all about you, then nothing you do will really matter. Even if you drive the most intimidating vehicle on the road, and have the most prestigious address in town, life will be empty if you are the only person you truly care about. Being absorbed only with yourself is the quickest route to misery. In contrast, the more genuine consideration you have for others, the more blessed your life will be. Before you act, think of how your actions will affect others. Seek to make a positive difference for the people around you, and you'll find real, lasting success and fulfillment flowing into your own life. Each moment you have an opportunity to be truly successful by contributing your own special value to life. Think and act beyond yourself, and there's no limit to the real success you can achieve. Touch the purpose In this moment, life is unfolding in a new and beautiful way. Can you see it? In this moment, there is a special goodness. Can you feel it? On this day, your dream is speaking to you. Can you hear it? Right now, you have something more precious than anything you can imagine. Right now, you have life and you have the opportunity to live it in your own special way. Let go of the needs you’ve surrounded yourself with. And let life’s richness fill your awareness. Taste the beauty, feel the possibilities and touch the purpose that lives within. Find new ways to experience sweet fulfillment simply by being you. Guest guest
These affirmations are so good. It helps us to think positively. It's much appreciated. MORNING COFFEE Why You Need to Accept Compliments by Jane “Accept praise.†Sometimes the hardest thing to hear and to accept is a compliment. We tend to be guarded, possibly because we have been hurt by words in the past. We fight the urge to believe the praise; it simply can’t be true. The truth is compliments should be embraced and welcomed. They’re an intangible gift, a confirmation of a job well done. Others may see great changes happening to you and they want to let you know. Respond with a smile and a simple “thank you.†You deserve to be flattered, so accept it, and enjoy it! Failure Does Not Mean I’m A Failure Failure does not mean I’m a failure; It does mean I have not yet succeeded. Failure does not mean I have accomplished nothing; It does mean I have learned something. Failure does not mean I have been a fool;It does mean I had enough faith to experiment. Failure does not mean I have disgraced; It does mean I have dared to try. Failure does not mean I don’t have it;It does mean I have something to do in a different way. Failure does not mean I am inferior; It does mean I am not perfect. Failure does not mean I have wasted my life;It does mean that I have an excuse to start over. Failure does not mean that I should give up;It does mean that I should try harder. Failure does not mean that I will never make it;It does mean that I need more practice. Failure does not mean that You have abandoned me;It does mean that You must have a better idea. Unknown Double down When life hands you a disappointment, don’t lower your expectations. Raise those expectations. If you’re having trouble reaching your goals, don’t give up on those goals. Make them even more ambitious and even more meaningful. Yes, life can be filled with inconvenience, frustration, and disappointment. The people you deal with can be rude, incompetent, arrogant and downright abusive. But you don’t have to let any of it get to you. Just as easily as you can choose to be angry, you can choose to be positive, productive, purposeful and enthusiastic. When the negativity gets thick, respond with positive enthusiasm. For that is precisely when it can have the most powerful effect. When being positive is not working out, double down on your positivity. Base your response not on how life has been, but on how you would like it to be.
