Guest guest
Hi, My name is Florea and I am an ABA therapist who has been working with children who have autism for about four years now. I currently work with an eleven year old boy who has an issue with spitting, among other various destructive behaviors...I was wondering if anyone could help me out...He spits when he is upset/frustrated or when he doesnt get what he wants. (other behaviors include scratching, attempts to bite, kicking, pinching, and just recently pulling hair) Almost everyone who is in this boy's life gets a chance to see all of these behaviors one time or another. When he spits at home, eveyone is pretty consistent about telling him no and to clean it up. This is not working with me, He continues to spit no matter how many times I tell him to stop/no etc. It is more frustrating than it is hurting anything (like the scratching etc), I just don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone help me out? Please and thanks-
