Guest guest
>> I am a chronic pain patient due to Adhesive Arachnoiditis. My back pain began when I was 18 years old and developed AA after one of those lovely epidurals shortly after I turned 21. PLEASE, I urge you and anyone else to do research before you get one of these procedures. << Hi Dawn, You're right, no one warned me about it. I was expecting to get some kind of pre-op info but all I learned beforehand was by phoning the office of the doctor who ordered it and the Radiology dept. Which bothered me. It is an invansive procedure. I didn't get your e-mail until long after I was home from the hospital. Not to minimize the risks or to belittle in ANY way your suffering, but I think I would probably gone ahead anway. At this point, I am pretty much desperate to alleviate my back problems and get at least a little of my life back. If I had read your email before I would probably have thought " I'll gamble - I'll take the risk " . Thanks very much for your concern, and for taking the time to give me a warning and some education. Hopefully I won't need another shot...I know most people get a series, but it seems like mine was a one-off. Which is all for the best by the sounds of it. Thanks again, Diane in Vancouver, B.C., Canada
