Guest guest
Is anyone out there using the Saxon Math programs? We are using Direct Instruction Connecting Math I, and while the math concepts are not the issue, there are some language points that are the hang up so that the amount of modification is becoming a little wearisome. We are working on filling in the language, but it is definitely holding up the math. Previous to this we had just done the counting, number recognition, matching/qty matching etc. as their own homebrewed programs. Before I spend some more money on a sight-unseen math curriculum I just wondered if anyone was using Saxon Math, how it is going, any caveats, and for that matter if there are other K/1 math curriculums out there that are successful for your child I'd love to hear about those. Thanks so much, Regina F. " If you do not wish a man to do a thing, you had better get him to talk about it; for the more men talk, the more likely they are to do nothing else.
