Guest guest
Dear Balwinder, If you remember, I had predicted another attack at delhi, 2 months ago, on this very forum. I was just watching news coverage and I came to know that there was another low intensity bomb blast at delhi high court in may this year. .....no attention paid at that time, since not many casualties. So, this time it is high intensity blast!!! Even terrorists wants to wake up our kumbhakarna politicians and police officers. In US there is no another attack after 2003, since US government took several steps and became very proactive in fighting terrorism. But, in india, we do not take cognizance of such an important warning. No CCTV cameras were placed at such an important site, even after low intensity blast! I remember your writing last time....we get rulers we deserve! I still don't think our kumbhakarna police and intelligence officers will even get up this time. They do dot know who is HuJI (who have taken responsibility for the blast) .... since they are busy saying haanji..haaji to their political mentors! Dr. Jeshil R. Guest guest
I remember reading somewhere that in India there is always just a knee-jerk reaction. The machinery gets moving after the " incident " has occurred and then we try to find out/guess who did it. Instead to attempting to gather intelligence or listening to intelligence and attempting to prevent the attack before it occurs. I know the latter is quite impossible in the Indian scenario as we have been told by news channels, since intelligence and security work overtime to protect politicians primarily ;-) Ravin '82 > ** > > > Dear Balwinder, > > If you remember, I had predicted another attack at delhi, 2 months ago, on > this very forum. > > I was just watching news coverage and I came to know that there was another > low intensity bomb blast at delhi high court in may this year. > > ....no attention paid at that time, since not many casualties. > > So, this time it is high intensity blast!!! Guest guest
As said in one of the columns in Times of India today..... " As a society, we have been displaying a far greater degree of passivity and fatalism than mature societies when confronted with an overwhelming event " !......... we need to get proactive rather than reactive. Need more dynamic but mature leaders rather than passive ones. Times have changed.......! It is scary but we are being surrounded by aggressive neighbors from all around.....requires a more farsighted approach.A powerful nation looks more menacing and difficult to take panga with if firm timely action is taken ! Guest guest
Balvinder: While the anguish and frustration is understandable, unfortunately that does not solve the problem of terrorism in our country. 1) India continues to be a 'soft state' when it comes to dealing with this issue. 2) The unwillingness to call or accept it as Islamic Terrorism is another reason. Continuing to call goody-goody and having a wishful thinking does not help eliminate terrorism. 3) Lack of pro-active approach 4) Overall, corrupt and spineless leadership cutting across all political parties. Guest guest
Totally incompetent Police under influence of corrupt politicians and Babus ! Nobody values or cares for human life! We r too scared to call a terrorist a terrorist or gunda a gunda !Most have political godfathers. The people have stopped trusting police becos they are with local goons thiefs chain snatchers ! Many in cities like mine have actually to pay protection money to local thugs what with impotent police machinery ! We probably need a dictatorship for few yrs to sort out the disease in our system !! Army jawans are killed daily fighting useless battles along politically motivated borders / issues .No one even reports their deaths !? What's the future of the way v r going !We need to shoot and kill terrorists internal/external and stop political negotiations ASAP !
