could any of you that have had success with non verbal children

using sign language as a response form for tacts tell me how you did

it. i mean i know how, but can you explain to me how it worked for

your child or client and if it helped them to gain expressive

language. What is the rationale with doing this in a child with

very little expressive language. I ask this so I can present my

arguments for this to my sons team at his school. so far it was

rejected. my son has tons of receptive language and only a little

with expressive via a few PECS for food and signs for actions. my

son has over 50 tacts from colors to household objects, animals,

people etc. I am working on 3 of these using sign to respond " what

is it? "

thanks
