Guest guest
Took this off-list at first, but now this is about kefir and raw dairy so I am going to re-introduce it to the raw dairy chat list. Someone may glean some helpful info from it. Selena, He must be little, so I would give the same amount as the cod liver oil you are giving. If it doesn't work after a couple of weeks, I would up the dosage little by little. If you get to 2 tsp. and still no effect, then I would give up on that. His system may be different from mine. That is quite possible, because if there is one thing I have learned for sure, it is that everyone's body chemistry can be quite different. But I bet you will see results quicker than 2 weeks on him. I don't recommend soy or rice milk, as soy is full of phytoestrogens and rice milk is none too tasty and full of carbs without nutrients. I would try raw goat's milk if he has an allergy to raw cow's milk. If he reacts even to that (since it is more absorbable than cow's) then that means he has a food allergy to raw dairy. And really any food allergy is an indication that perhaps he has what's called " leaky gut syndrome " which I've mentioned before on this list--that's for sure. Sorry for the repeat, but I can't help myself. LGS is caused from not having the right bacteria in his gut to keep it healthy. The gut is SO important to the immune system as the bacteria there manufacture the immunoglobulins that the T-cells use to fight infections. If one doesn't have good bacteria manufacturing lots of immunoglobulins, then the t-cells are running around with no payload to unload onto infections. Coconut kefir will introduce the right bacteria into his gut, close it up and heal it, and make his food allergy go away. See if tiny food particles are escaping through the intestinal walls into the bloodstream, the white blood cells begin making antigens to combat those foreign and unrecognized substances, and these food proteins sometimes closely mimic proteins in our own body, like, say, the myelin around our nerve cells--creating what's known as Multiple Sclerosis. So back to the coconut kefir, then with the dairy-loving bacteria in his gut from it, after about a year you will be able to re-introduce raw dairy products without reactions. Make sense?
